Voices of Valor is a documentary series that connects aging veterans with a younger generation through meaningful conversation. By inviting students to ask real questions, the project creates a space for veterans to reflect on their life, service, and perspective in their own words. These stories are captured not just to be remembered, but to be passed on, bridging the gap between generations through honesty, understanding, and shared history.

Voices of Valor isn’t just about preserving history, it’s about making it feel real and relevant to younger generations. Inspired by the conversational, engaging style of interviews you see exploding on Youtube nowadays, the project replaces traditional lecture-style storytelling with something more dynamic. Each film is driven by real questions from younger generations, creating a natural, curiosity led dialogue that feels personal and immediate.
The goal is to create something younger generations actually want to watch, something that captures their attention, resonates emotionally, and leaves a lasting impression. Because when history feels human, it becomes unforgettable.

How it Works
1 | Student Questions
Each participating class receives a short bio of the veteran, giving students a chance to learn about their background and service. From there, students record their questions on a simple vertical phone video; no production needed, just curiosity. These videos are then submitted to our team and become the foundation of each conversation.

2 | Veteran Interview
We sit down with the veteran for a relaxed, filmed conversation where they respond to the students’ questions. There is no script or pressure, just an honest opportunity to reflect, share experiences, and speak directly to a younger generation in their own words.

3 | The Final Film
Each interview is carefully crafted into a short documentary that weaves together the veteran’s responses to the students’ questions. Facts, events and experiences that the veteran describes in their interview are paired with infographics and historical footage to give context to the story they are telling. The finished film is designed to be both engaging and educational, with the goal of sharing it directly with schools so it can be experienced in classrooms, allowing more students to connect with these stories in a real, meaningful way.
